  12. Apple has proposed in Release 7.0 to provide the Database Access Manager
  13. toolbox.  Does TDocument still fit/work in light this new tool box.  Will there
  14. ever really be a TDocument that can/will encompass the CL/1 CLient/server
  15. model?  (What about this BTREE STUFF?)

  17. In the Preliminary Developer Notes (pg 3) they show a graphic ment to explain
  18. the interface and access.  They show 3 distinct applications and one document:

  20.         Database [We Do FORMs] (whatever that is supposed to mean)
  21.         Database Capable       (ie data queies buried in the Applciation)
  22.         Database Querry Tool   (they do querries)
  23.         Querry Document        (a real document)

  25. Does this mean that each applciation from above will have its own document type
  26. and that in addition there will be a querry document type (supported by MacApp
  27. as TQuerryDoc with all the attendant methods, local fields and such to help us
  28. build queries?)  I think that TDocument stills stands as useful but that we
  29. have something new here (to MacApp) and it needs to be dealt with either by
  30. integrating or breaking it out as a seperate concept.

  32. For that matter many System 7.0 concepts will need to be added to the MacApp
  33. Framework and I would like to encourage Apple to get their 7.0 MacApp ideas out
  34. to us as soon as possible so we can really give them some good feedback.
